We launch a new image

Based in Malaga, we founded Shamat in 2015, a family business specializing in shirts and men's fashion.
Since our beginnings, we have remained faithful to a vision: to create Garments made from scratch, original and different, with unique prints, a high standard of quality and entirely manufactured in Spain. Over the years, this has been our core philosophy, the same one that has guided us every step of the way as we've grown and evolved as a brand.

Our men's fashion brand has always been characterized by a strong commitment to quality and the creation of unique and groundbreaking prints that move away from standardized offerings and conventional fashion.

After eight years of growth and expansion across Spain, Italy, Germany, Portugal, the Netherlands, Croatia, Cyprus, Chile, and the Dominican Republic, it's time to continue growing and position Shamat as a 100% national brand and an alternative to the standardization of affordable fashion.

To achieve this goal, we have been working for over a year on the creation of a brand narrative with which we can convey what we are and unify all the messages we send to our audience.

The new logo and brand slogan

The redesign of Shamat has been a journey of self-exploration and introspection to define our values, our mission, vision and purpose.

With the launch of the new logo in 2022, we were already preparing to begin redefining a new approach that has led to substantial changes in our image and communication.

At the same time, we also started using our brand slogan "You choose to be different," positioning Shamat as a brand that encourages its audience to find their potential and identity so that they dare to use fashion as a form of expression and take the step to be different and choose what they want to be.

Shamat comes from the Persian phrase "Shah mat"

The brand's isotype was born from the union of two objectives: to link the brand to the roots of the place where it began to develop and, to aim to raise the keep of the Castillo de la Estrella, a symbolic monument of Teba and the birthplace of Shamat, as its emblem.

This clear objective led to, in the creation process of the naming,  a source of congruence and inspiration to conclude the initial idea was found in chess. This is how the name of Shamat , a union of the Persian phrase «Shah mat → The king is dead» and where it comes from Checkmate of chess.

A deeper understanding of our audience has allowed us to more authentic approach and relevant to carry out actions that help us achieve a total cohesion between what we are and what we project.

We want to be one inspiring brand and encourage our audiences to discover their potential and identity through our garments, encouraging them to use fashion as a means of expression and to enjoy everything that comes with being authentic.

We design and manufacture in Spain

The quality and the seal "made in Spain" has always been and will always be linked to Shamat. We know that long-lasting clothing is the most sustainable, which is why we have always worked with sustainable, high-quality textiles.

Since our beginning, we are committed to a km0 manufacturing that reactivates the local industry and that bets on the sustainable fashion and the circularity of our clothes.
Now, we've taken a further step. In December 2023, we'll open Macontex , our own textile workshop in Teba (Málaga), the town that saw us born and grow as a brand.

Here we create our collections from start to finish We are fully involved in all stages of the production chain, from initial inspiration, sketches, and design to prototype and sample development, production quality control, logistics, and final sale.

With this, we have managed to close the circle and be proud to say that we think, We design and produce our garments in Spain, in state-of-the-art facilities, with cutting-edge machinery, with decent working conditions, and with full presence and supervision throughout the entire production chain through which each and every one of our Shamat garments passes.
